Our independence rules

These are the commitments we hold ourselves to, and readers should hold us to them too.

• No paid placement. No company can buy a ranking, a score, a mention or a position in any table on this site.
• Weaknesses published alongside strengths. Every platform we review gets a "what to watch" section, including platforms we may earn from.
• Cheaper routes named, even when they earn us nothing. We tell readers that a newsagency cash deposit beats a crypto ATM, and that a PayID transfer beats a card, because both are true.
• Rankings reflect a stated methodology. Our criteria are published on the pages that rank things, and we apply them consistently.
• No commercial relationship changes a factual statement. Ever.

How we source information

We prioritise primary sources: regulator publications from AUSTRAC and ASIC, guidance from the Australian Taxation Office, legislation, and providers' own published fee schedules and documentation. Where we cite a figure — a fee, a limit, a threshold, a date — it comes from something checkable.

We also conduct our own testing, including running transactions through different channels to compare real outcomes and verifying physical locations against published listings. Where a page describes our own testing, it says so explicitly.

We do not invent case studies, fabricate quotes, or attribute opinions to people who do not exist. Where we give a view, it is the view of the editorial team and is presented as such.

Accuracy, dating and drift

Crypto information decays quickly. Fees change, limits are revised, registrations lapse, machines are removed and regulations take effect. Every substantive page carries a review date, and we revisit pages when material facts change.

Despite that, some details on this site will be out of date at any given moment. We say on every page that readers should verify current details directly with the provider before transacting, and we mean it. Treat our figures as indicative guidance for comparison, not as a live price feed.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, email contact@crypto-sydney.com with the page and the issue. We will check it against sources and correct it if you are right. Reader corrections have improved a number of these pages and we are grateful for them.

What we will never publish

Personal financial advice, because we are not licensed to provide it and do not know your circumstances. Price predictions. Recommendations to buy a specific asset. Referrals to signal groups, trading courses, managed accounts or "recovery" services. And nothing that would require a reader to send funds to us or to anyone we introduce.
