What we cannot help with
We cannot give financial, investment, legal or tax advice. We are not licensed to, and we do not know your circumstances. For personal advice, speak to a licensed Australian financial adviser or a tax agent registered with the Tax Practitioners Board.
We cannot recover lost or stolen crypto. We have no access to any blockchain, exchange or wallet, and we cannot reverse a transaction or contact a platform on your behalf. If you have been scammed, our scam guide sets out the reporting steps that actually help — and please be aware that anyone contacting you offering paid recovery is running a second scam.
We cannot resolve a dispute with an exchange. Contact the platform's support first. If that fails, the platform's external dispute resolution scheme, ASIC or the Australian Financial Complaints Authority may be relevant depending on the service.
We will never ask you for a seed phrase, a private key, an account password, remote access to your device, or a payment of any kind. We do not cold-call, message people about investment opportunities, or operate accounts on messaging apps. If someone contacts you claiming to represent Crypto Sydney and asks for any of those, it is not us — please report it and let us know.
